In collaboration between curatorial agency MakeRoom Inc. and dance music collective LOVEU4EVER, WAVEBEAM is an immersive art installation that merges digital art and electronic music as vehicles to
spark connection and help revive Toronto’s nightlife.

LIGHTS AS PORTALS TO ANOTHER WORLD
Using simple lighting techniques, light can transform physical spaces. Through lighting explorations, WAVEFORM's colour palette is inspired by the
four seasons to symbolize hope, optimism and the progression of time.
ACHIEVING VISUAL BALANCE
Due to The Illuminarium’s unique ‘L’ shaped site, it was important to use a high-contrast color palette between the background and foreground to make each crevice into a focal point rather than a passive area.
TRANSFORMING 2D GEOMETRY INTO 3D SPACE
In TouchDesigner, I built an audio-reactive system that shifts colour based on the low, mid, and high frequencies. As the night goes on, the installation evolved over time.
